New Software for old Scanner?

If you own an old scanner, and it is not a high-end-drumscanner that had cost 100.000 $ in better times, there are only two meaningful things, you can do with it:

1. Throw it away, or
2. sell it/give it away for free to an unsuspecting person

That's the way it is. Scanning takes so much time that you should not wast your time by working with outdated hardware. Evene a new scanning Software like SiverFast or VueScan will not convert your old scanning warhorse into a contemporary device. You should better invest your money directly in a modern scanner.
